Madrid the capital

Madrid is the capital of Spain and is located in the center of the Iberian Peninsula. The climate of Madrid is warm and dry at summer and cool at winter, and this is because its high altitude and his central location.

In Madrid there are a few great monuments. A few of its highlights are the medieval center and the Prado Museum. You can of course spend a few days just seeing Madrid’s extraordinary museums, among them the Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofia.

Outdoor activities are all around the year. You can choose from skiing in the winter in the mountains and if you choose to visit in the summer you can enjoy boating and you have also a variety of water sports.

The countryside around the city of Madrid is the escape valve, as it were, fore the capital’s people. This is the plave where they go to relax.

I’m going to finish with restaurants that are everywhere. Madrid is also a very alive at night time with many discotheques open into the night, pubs, cafes and more.
